Dudes who wear board shorts to places other than the beach (err … lake), rejoice! The best pseudo-reggae alt-rock band of 1995 is returning to Oklahoma City. 311 will play Monday, July 6 at Diamond Ballroom, the group’s first OKC show since 2011 (though they were at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa last year).
Those who aren’t currently wearing a puka shell necklace probably still know the Omaha (!?) band from the spillover from their college dorm or that time they covered The Cure for an Adam Sandler movie. 311 has sold over 8.5 million albums since forming in 1988 and put out their latest record, Stereolithic, last year.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
