Indie-rock luminaries Built to Spill announce return to Oklahoma City

Few American bands sound as good live as Built to Spill, and even fewer tour as frequently as they do. So you can’t fault the guys for taking a good six years to record their follow-up to There Is No Enemy (a rather underrated piece to their discography, if I do say so myself). But the Boise-based vets are back with a new album, Untethered Moon, this April, and they’ll be back in Oklahoma City shortly thereafter.

Following up their 2013 appearance at Rock for Oklahoma — the tornado-relief benefit that also featured Kings of Leon, The Flaming Lips, and Jackson Browne — the guitar-wielding Idahoans return May 21 for an all-ages show at the ACM@UCO Performance Lab.Portland’s Wooden Indian Burial Ground is set to open, and you can get your tickets Friday via Ticketstorm.
