Why you need to see them: You wouldn’t know it by name alone, but Power Pyramid makes some of the warmest, tenderest rock music around. That’s not to say it isn’t powerful; the OKC shoegazers are just as likely to have your fists pumping in affirmation as they are to assuage your soul with entrancingly dulcet soundscapes. Yet it’s that fine line between piercing and soothing that Power Pyramid toes masterfully, manifesting in a sensory experience — and live show — that few of the band’s ilk are capable of replicating.
