Why you need to see them: You wouldn’t know it by name alone, but Power Pyramid makes some of the warmest, tenderest rock music around. That’s not to say it isn’t powerful; the OKC shoegazers are just as likely to have your fists pumping in affirmation as they are to assuage your soul with entrancingly dulcet soundscapes. Yet it’s that fine line between piercing and soothing that Power Pyramid toes masterfully, manifesting in a sensory experience — and live show — that few of the band’s ilk are capable of replicating.
What others in the know are saying: “Power Pyramid are a ‘roaring and soaring’ rock n’ roll that storms out fantastic rushes of shoegaze mastery, lo-fi ace airs, indie rock charge, alternative rock groove and dream pop aura elegance. Their overall platform has a tremendous music atmosphere and my ear rock modules indeed took a pleasurable appreciation and respect for their charismatic rock platter.” – Timothy Forker (Forkster’s Daily Band Review, May 27, 2015)
