Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally bring their Summer of 69 tour to Midwest City

You know them on TV as meat-loving patriot Ron Swanson and his psycho ex-wife Tammy. But when they’re not on the set, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally might be the funniest husband-wife duo working in comedy today. On April 15, the Parks and Recreation stars will perform at Midwest City’s Hudiberg Chevrolet Center, a venue presumably selected by Offerman’s Swanson character, who wouldn’t be caught dead in a building named after a foreign auto manufacturer.

Offerman and Mullally come through town in the midst of their marvelously titled Summer of 69: No Apostrophe tour, though the couple is already quite familiar (but not “let’s 69!” familiar) with Oklahoma City. Mullally is an OKC native and an alumna of the Oklahoma City Ballet and independent prep school Casady. After leaving Oklahoma, she experienced considerable success on Broadway and landed a starring gig on Will & Grace, a role for which she won two Emmys and four Screen Actors Guild awards. Offerman has also won awards for his work, including the Television Critics Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy for his role in Parks and Rec.
