Funniest Person in Oklahoma City Finals

Over the past month, OKC Comedy has been running a gauntlet of one-liners, humorous anecdotes, and world-class dick jokes to discover who exactly is the funniest person in Oklahoma City. Each preliminary round of the inaugural Funniest Person in Oklahoma City contest has picked off a couple of handfuls of hopefuls, all setting the stage (quite literally) for Saturday night’s final round of the metro’s finest comedians duking it out. The winner — as chosen by guest judges Samantha Pitchel (SXSW Comedy, Splitsider), Abigail Londer (RiOT LA Comedy Festival) and Samm Varela (Funny or Die) — gets $1,000, while second and third place get $500 and $250, respectively.
So, who is the favorite to win? Will it be the lean, mean, soft-spoken machine James Nghiem? Or maybe Steve “Wampus” Reynolds will leave all his fellow comedians’ lives in Jeopardy? Or will it be one of the other contender’s taking the championship belt? We thought we’d open it up to your vote to set the odds heading into Saturday night’s title fight.
