Cupid’s kind of a piece of shit. Just look at the poor bastard, buzzing around like a damn housefly, shooting people with arrows and forcing them to fall in love the first damn person they see. It’s a pretty pathetic existence, to be honest.
But as anyone who has ever met a member of the opposite sex at a bar knows, Cupid never goes to bars. So all you emo folks (like these guys, and these guys) would be well advised to steer clear of the god of desire this Valentine’s Day and head to a Norman watering hole for the Stupid Cupid Pub Crawl, an annual fundraiser benefitting Norman Music Festival, which will be free of charge yet again this April.
The crawl is from 7 p.m.-midnight Friday, Feb. 13 in downtown Norman. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at any of the participating bars, including:

The event coincides with Norman Arts Council’s 2nd Friday Art Walk and 2nd Friday Concert Series, which will serve as the crawl’s official afterparty. This month’s show features Beau Jennings, Tyson Meade, Samantha Crain, and Sherree Chamberlain (folkin’ A!), and it will also serve as a release party for Jennings, who drops his new record, The Verdigris, that evening. The music starts at 9 p.m. at the Opolis. Admission to both the walk and concert is free.
