Opolis is aiming to fill up your fall concert schedule with a quartet of shows announced in the last week, both at their home base and occasional satellite booking location ACM@UCO Performance Lab.
Swedish indie-folk singer José González will make a Friday, Oct. 9 pitstop at ACM@UCO Performance Lab in the midst of his U.S. tour in support of his latest record, Vestiges & Claws, which was released in February. This marks the Junip singer’s first stop in Oklahoma.
The Polyphonic Spree will return to Oklahoma yet again to kick off their 15th-anniversary tour, scheduling a Monday, Oct. 19 stop at ACM@UCO Performance Lab. The oversized Dallas collective has made numerous stops in Oklahoma since headlining the inaugural Norman Music Festival in 2008, including a set at Hanson’s Hop Jam this past May in Tulsa. The band’s latest studio album, Yes, It’s True, came out in 2013.
Blitzen Trapper, the Portland-based alt-country band that came to fame with 2008’s Furr, will perform on Friday, Oct. 23 at Opolis in support of its recently announced eighth studio record, All Across This Land, which will land three weeks prior to their Norman show.
This slate of new shows is rounded out with Skylar Spence, the electronic pop musician who formerly went by Saint Pepsi. Spence’s debut LP, Prom King drops on Friday, Sept. 18, and he’ll make is Oklahoma live debut on Sunday, Nov. 1 at Opolis.
Tickets for González’s show go on sale this Friday, while tickets for Skylar Spence will go live on Wednesday. The Polyphonic Spree and Blitzen Trapper tickets are available for purchase now.
