Because nine Grammys just weren’t good enough, mega-R&B star John Legend took home a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for his work on the song “Glory,” which he co-wrote with Common for the movie Selma. Fresh off those awards, Legend — a philanthropist, humanitarian, and all-around good guy — will give the keynote at the University of Central Oklahoma’s UCO@125 Distinguished Speakers Series next month.
Legend will speak at 2 p.m. April 7 in Night University Center’s Constitution Hall on the UCO campus. Tickets are $60 for the general public and $50 for UCO faculty and staff, and they’ll be available for purchase at 5 p.m. Friday via this here link. VIP tickets will also be available for all you John Legend super-fans.
Unfortunately, student tickets are sold out, but if you’re a young Broncho and still wanna go, first-come-first-serve seating will available free of cost. Or, you know, you could just fork up the $60 and buy a ticket. Ramen ain’t that bad.
