Who said Oklahoma was a hip-hop wasteland? The local scene has grown steadily in the past half-decade, especially, and now it’s attracting some marquee hip-hop names with regularity. Need proof? Look at this week, which has Future, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Rae Sremmurd coming through in the span of five days. If that’s not your bag, you can rock out with your Godsmack out over at Rocklahoma or catch some pretty stout indie acts tearing into the Sooner State through Wednesday.

’90s indie rock royalty doesn’t come through town every day (sometimes, in Oklahoma, not even every year). Catch all the classics like “Car” and “Carry the Zero,” plus new cuts from their 2015 release Untethered Moon.

When they aren’t saving people from diabetic shock, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are still out there on the road playing one of humanity’s greatest gifts to the universe: “Tha Crossroads.”

With the tagline “life, liberty and the pursuit of rock,” the fact that this festival comes in the midst of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference happening in OKC can’t be a total coincidence, right? Party on, Ted Cruz.

Austin product Beth Israel makes jangly, pensive indie rock with the very best of them. They also produce pretty kick ass music videos.
