Hey now. Rawhide Festival has been bringing some big hip-hop names to the humble college town of Stillwater since 2012 — including Juicy J, Trinidad James, Tyga, and Ying Yang Twins over the years — but this year’s rendition ups the ante considerably. Now a two-day festival, Rawhide nabbed headliners T-Pain, 2 Chainz, and Fetty Wap to bring the party to Pistol Pete country. T-Pain and Fetty Wap will anchor the bill on Friday, September 11, while 2 Chainz will reign supreme over Saturday, September 12. More artists will be announced in the weeks to come, as well. It all goes down at Tumbleweed Ampitheater, and tickets are on sale now.
Many know Grammy-winning producer, singer, and rapper T-Pain as the Auto-Tune lovin’ songsmith behind hit singles like “Buy U a Drank” and “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper),” though his NPR Music Tiny Desk concert showed he’s got chops with or without it. He just dropped a new single “Make That Shit Work” featuring, suitably enough, Juicy J with a new studio LP due in the near future.
2 Chainz — immortalized in one of our favorite modern SNL sketches — struck gold worthy of neck-wearing with his 2012 record Based on a T.R.U. Story, boasting platinum singles “I’m Different” and “Birthday Song.” 2 Chainz, too, just debuted new music with “Watch Out,” and many Oklahomans will remember him for an arrest in Oklahoma City back in 2013.
Fetty Wap is the man of the hour. The New Jersey emcee has owned 2015 with the ubiquitous “Trap Queen,” “679” and “My Way.” Also, Vulture mashed up Doug with “Trap Queen” in case you are short on smiles today.

Oxford Karma is happy to play a small role in helping the festival happen, too, along with the heavy lifting of Levelland Productions, Flywill and Pairadime Music.
